The lace is just laid onto the border. I have not decided yet if I need to adorn it with something....
I am now in the process of sewing on these black 12mm dome sequins in the center of each square.
I only have a couple of hundred left to sew on.

My cat Opie will not sit on my lap nor will he allow himself to be petted unless forced!! However whenever my back is turned he insists on staking out his claim to my quilt!!
Your quilt is amazingly beautiful! Your work inspires me. ~Kelly

A beautiful quilt for a beautiful cat :)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! Your cat is gorgeous, too.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those domed sequins!
ReplyDeleteOnly a couple of hundred to go *sigh*. Just think of it as a 'Zen' activity, and hope your thread doesn't snarl to disturb your peaceful thoughts.....
My Jasper is like that - he keeps away while I'm embroidering in my corner of my couch but if I get up for a second .... he's in that corner in a trice. He sleeps there at night sometimes, so we have to manage a 'share' arrangement.
I also have to get the carer to vacuum that cushion all the time, coz it's solid cat hair (from his sleeping) and of course it all ends up on my embroidery! :-)
Absolutely sensational, Shirlee....!!
