I do miss blogging so I am back and will try hard to continue.
I have finished the CQJP2015 challenge and now have to put it together in a quilt/wall hanging
The background is the same fabric that I used on my Couture Circle quilt. I love this fabric but need to make the background different somehow!
Keeping with the "button theme I embroidered my initials with the beads around them on tulle and gathered it over a 2" mother of pearl button.I do miss blogging so I am back and will try hard to continue.

I mounted the black taffeta fabric (about 38" by 50") on a frame with a layer of black tulle over it and started the border .
I auditioned several options for the border with some stitching buddies and this was the winning selection.
This vintage metal lace layered over silk velvet (I must be crazy) really makes the metal lace pop.
